Somebody's Gotta Tell 'Em

Hey, you. Yes, you. It's okay to say you're brilliant at something. I know that can sound conceited, but truth is we need more confidence in what we do. I do not want us to walk around with arrogance or even misplaced confidence aka delusional for no reason, but I want us to walk in the room knowing that our education and experience built real expertise and that we deserve to be in the room. In fact, somebody should be grateful you walked in the room because your work yields impact.

You have the receipts. I believe in humility, but self-doubt must go where the sun doesn't shine. What you bring to the table matters. You need to start telling yourself that and not dismissing it when others say it. You have increased revenue, decreased expenses, boosted morale, elevated messaging, impacted communities, and heightened efficiencies. Yes, you did all that, so stop acting surprised when people take note.

Now is the time, to keep up the impeccable work, level up where necessary, keep learning and growing, AND CHARGING WHAT YOU SHOULD! Stop charging 5 piece fried wing ding prices for duck a l'organe!

I'm speaking to myself as well. For a long time, I didn't really see the impact I've been making over the years, but recently at a community event hosted through my other entity, The Don In Heels Inc , I heard people speaking about experiencing my work through Braxton Management. My heart was so full, and tears tried to form because people were being impacted by work I love to do in my community. It was such a blessing to hear that, but it was also a wake-up call that I really do have receipts. I do what I do well in the spirit of excellence. Yes, I will always need to work on my areas needing improvement, but I can also focus on all those successful areas that have led to increased efficiency, aligning of mission with operations, savings clients resources, and so much more.

I've had to talk to myself about this, but I figured you needed in on this, too. Thanks for coming to my mirror talk. Feel free to drop some motivation for yourself and someone else who needs it in the comments.

Community-driven solutions are so important to us. I am committed to addressing real-world problems that impact business operations.

P.S. If no one has shown you today, I love you, but my God loves you better. Be blessed.
