In the fifth episode of "Kendall Solves It", we tackle another operational issue. How can a business operate efficiently when bottlenecks originate from the top?
Community Question from Reddit (summarized): "Did you implement any systems or processes that helped your team step up? Any mistakes to avoid?

Kendall's Insightful Analysis and Steps
Whew! Well, this is a big one. As a founder, I know firsthand how hard it is to properly delegate. I have often taken back what I have delegated because I felt I needed to handle everything myself. That, my friend, is a mistake to avoid. Below are some tips (and questions) to help you extinguish these operational bottlenecks:
Find the owner's communication style. Observe when the person is most productive and present pressing matters.
Structure your check-ins with startup owners to include outstanding tasks before moving on to new business.
If the owner has hired staff, identify the key players for each matter and connect with them to develop a project plan.
Implement helpful tools. Avoid overwhelming your clients with a multitude of tools for their tech stack. Start with what is free or more easily attainable. Utilize these tools to help your clients stay on track with their current goals and automate tasks.
Avoid coming in like a bulldozer. For founders and owners of small businesses, letting go of any element can be extremely challenging. Be honest and direct, because to grow and scale, we must face some tough truths, but it must be done with care.
